To get to the magic you see it takes a lot of hard work. Our daughter Jasmine Nola started these efforts back in October, contacting struggling families, schools, churches and organizations to get letters and wishlists from kids all over NJ. Organizing all this requires hours upon hours of reading letters, compiling lists, fundraising, shopping, sorting, tagging, bagging and double checking to make sure not one kid is forgotten. This is just a small glimpse of the finished product.
Our son RJ’s memory Blessed 1800 children this year from as far as Newark to Trenton, Forked River & everything in between. Emails and texts are pouring in of parents left speechless by what they received today. Together with your support we helped kids who lost their mom, a mom who has a child with stage four cancer & another mom whose children lost their dad this year. Big Organizations like Freehold YMCA, Mercer Boys & Girls Club and Long Branch VFW, schools like: Freehold Learning Center, Park Ave, Roselle Polk, Newark JFK Special Needs, Irvington School District and several churches made their way to Freehold to pick up toys in time for the holiday.
But we are most proud of our daughter Jasmine Nola Austin-Leaks for leading the efforts success. She’s been working non stop on three of MTN’s largest projects simultaneously, which is no easy task.
What you see looks easy, was seemlessly executed but took months of preparation, sleepless nights and sacrifice to get it done.
Thank you to all of you who continually support MTN! Tonight Yvette Austin-Anderson and I smile extra hard knowing our son RJ lives in the hearts and minds of so many who received Blessings in his name. For such a tiny fleeting life, he continues to leave a Big footprint on so many. And for that we are thankful!
Stay connected, share, pray and donate to ensure we keep the magic going.
We are moving right into Friends Feed Homeless where 1,000 of our neighbors without an address will receive care packages across NJ.
To God be the Glory!
